Import Configuration Template

The Administration > Import Configuration page of UIP is used to import the use case templates that are downloaded from this site.

  1. Download the template json file to your local machine
  2. Select the types of data to configure. Adapters can be imported without having the corresponding Adapter Type on the system. NEC recommends using the Adapter Store to install any missing Adapter Types and upgrade them to the latest available version after performing an import. Importing the wrong version of an adapter type can cause the system to function incorrectly.
  3. If applicable, fill in any custom Import Properties that are unique to your operating environment. Import operations may be blocked until all of the required import properties pass validation. Refer to a use case's page within this site for more information about its import property requirements.
  4. Select Import to configure UIP for the use case.

The Import button will begin the import process. After import is done, an Import Summary is displayed with a Status for each of the chosen data types. The import status can be Success, Warning, Duplicate. Skipped, or Failed. Click on a type to reveal more result details.
